For six days God was engaged in his work of creating, and on the seventh day he rested. The six days of creation we understand, but what about the “rest”?

I have several crazy friends who go in for marathons, ultramarathons, biathlons, triathlons and other such tests of endurance. One of them just finished a 100 mile race.
Other people I know run different kinds of races. Races of perseverance in marriage, in family, in health, at work, in finances, races often run through many disappointments and setbacks
Of all the reasons churches and leaders falter, high up on the list is a failure to change. And most of us realize this.
But what we overlook is the opposite truth. Just as high on that list is the tendency to change for the sake of change.
How can both be true? The explanation is easier than you think.
